Sewing Classes

Embark on a journey of growth and creativity with our specially designed sewing classes at Sew Pinellas, perfect for those ready to build upon their foundational knowledge of machine operation. These classes are tailored for individuals who have mastered the basics, completed the Introduction to Sewing course and are eager to delve deeper into the art of sewing. If you know how to operate a machine, these classes are perfect for you.

Whether you're aiming to undertake personal projects or simply enjoy the process of creating, these classes are an ideal stepping stone. They are designed to not only expand your technical abilities but also to instill confidence and a deeper appreciation for sewing as a craft.

Private Lessons

Opt for our tailored private sewing lessons, designed both for novices eager to embark on their sewing journey or for seasoned sewists looking to refine and expand their expertise. Each bespoke session is structured for a duration of 60 minutes, offering an immersive learning experience. Elevate your sewing acumen with personalized guidance and dedicated attention.

Note that all private lessons will be directly booked by the instructors. You can no longer use our system to book lessons independently. Please email our instructors directly to book sessions so they can better cater to your needs.

Private Lesson Fee: $90/hour (+$25 for each additional student on a shared lesson) Bundles available for 2 hours and 4 hours at lower prices per hour.

After School Sewing Program

Join our After School Sewing and Fashion Program, a dynamic 9-week course where students from elementary to high school can delve into the world of fashion and sewing. Scheduled around the school calendar, the program offers age-specific classes limited to small groups to ensure personalized attention.

We are now offering 4 different after school options, two following the same program design as our summer camps and previous after school programs, with each student progressing at their own pace.

A new option is now available for the slightly younger crew who previously were not able to participate in our programs, designed for ages 7-10 and will focus on machine sewing.

The 4th option will be our high school only group, which we will focus more on the technical aspects of fashion design, including pattern drafting and draping.

Program Fee: $475

Resort Wear Sewing Cruise

Sewing and cruising? Yes please. April 12-18, join us on our first sewing cruise where we will make resort wear. Wrap pants, skirts, sun dresses and swimsuits. No experience is required. We have a crash course on the first day on machine operation.

Pricing: $2500 - $3900

Social Sewing

Join us for Social Sewing Hours on select Fridays from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, where creativity meets community. These special evenings are dedicated to bringing sewing enthusiasts together in a relaxed, friendly environment. Work on your projects, share tips, and find inspiration while enjoying the company of fellow sewists. It’s the perfect way to end the week, surrounded by creativity and camaraderie. While no formal instruction is provided, the shared knowledge and enthusiasm of the group make these sessions both enjoyable and enriching. Mark your calendars and be part of our vibrant sewing community!

Summer Fashion Design Camps 2026 - Coming Soon

Dive into a summer of creativity with our Fashion Design Camps at Sew Pinellas! Ideal for ages 9-17, these two-week camps, starting June 9, offer an immersive experience in fashion design. From designing a fashion collection to creating accessories, each camp culminates in a showcase for family and friends. Spaces are limited to 12 students per camp, providing an intimate and focused learning environment.

Our camps offers an immersive full-day experience from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Pricing: Two Week Camp Fee $925, Single Week Camp Fee $500
