Weekly Newsletter
Good Morning Creative People!
It is never a dull moment over here at Sew Pinellas. Classes are buzzing, people are shopping and we are plotting our next adventure. I have been trying to work out a new interior design layout in the shop that gives more separation to the classroom and also adds more space for shopping. I finally have a plan, so stay tuned for interior design changes in the next few weeks.
The one cool thing that I will be doing, is I will be blending part of my other business (Porcelynne) into the shop space. There is a lot of prep to do in order to track those sales, but we are already on our way. We just upgraded our shopping experience to now offer printed paper receipts and will be adding a dedicated checkout station.
On the class front, our first pattern making class is officially sold out. Yay for that. Chelsea and Brenna will have their work cut out for them. I will be adding our next sessions to the calendar this week as I begin to add May and June to the calendar. They really are designed as 2 back to back sessions, but you would register for them separately.
I made a little announcement in the last email that I’ll be teaching some lingerie design and sewing classes in March. They will be taught at the Original Sewing Expo in Lakeland over Spring Break. Just search for my name (Jennifer Fairbanks) for my classes. The drafting class is for any skill level. To participate in the sewing class, you should be able to operate a sewing machine without assistance.
One last small but might note, I kind of forgot to introduce our new teachers to everyone. A lot of you already got to meet Tori last fall, but have you met Sara, Tori’s BFF and talented alterations specialist? Yep, you heard that right, reach out to Sara and she can teach you alterations or even do them for you!
Chelsea joined our team in December and Brenna joined our team in January. They are truly creative souls that belong with Sew Pinellas and we are so glad to have them in our family. Both have their specialties, Chelsea has been training with me to teach our advanced sewing classes, pattern making classes and future draping classes.
Brenna is a talented quilter and stuffie maker (Just Frogs is her biz). In fact, she has a daytime class coming in a few weeks in a weekend class coming up next month. Make sure you sign up to try your hand at something new. Let it satisfy the yearning to learn a new skill.
Most of our March classes are sold out already, with a few spaces scattered here and there. April classes are booking, so grab that spot now before its too late.
Thank you for all being a part of Sew Pinellas!

Quilting Basics
This Is How Quilt People Are Made
You know the ones. They casually say, “Oh, I quilt,” and then pull out something absolutely stunning that they made with their own hands.
That could be you.
Our first Quilting Basics session wrapped and now the next round is here. The last group filled quickly, and this one will too. If you have been quilt curious, consider this your official invitation.
Over three weeks, you will go from curious to confident.
Week one is all about hand piecing. Week two moves to machine piecing. By week three, you will transform your blocks into a finished quilted wall hanging, complete with batting, layering, and clean, polished binding. The kind of finish that makes people say, “Wait. You made that?”
This class is designed for sewists who are comfortable on a machine and ready to expand their skills. All supplies are included. Just bring yourself and your creative energy.
When: Tuesdays March 10, 17, 24 | 10 AM to 12 PM
Fair warning. Once you make one, you will want to make more.
