Ready to take your sewing to the next level? This 3-week Serger/Overlocker class is designed to help you feel confident using your machine and understanding what it can do.
In the first two weeks, we’ll focus on learning the ins and outs of your serger. You’ll practice threading your machine, adjusting tension, and exploring different stitch functions. We’ll cover both 3-thread and 4-thread stitches, seam finishing, and specialty techniques like rolled hems, differential feed, and working with knit fabrics.
In the final week, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned by completing a small project, giving you the chance to build confidence and reinforce your new skills in a guided setting.
This class is perfect for sewists who own a serger but feel unsure how to use it, or anyone looking to expand their skill set beyond a traditional sewing machine.
Requirements:
Students must bring their own serger/overlocker in working condition
Basic sewing machine experience is recommended
Important: Combo overlocker/coverstitch machines are NOT permitted for this class.
