Start the new year by sewing your own cozy, handmade sweatshirt or pullover. In this 3-week class, you will choose from three stylish patterns: the Pogonip Pullover, Polar Puff Fleece, or Drew Sweatshirt, and learn techniques for sewing with both knit and woven fabrics.
This class is perfect for confident beginners and intermediate sewists who want to build garment-making skills in a supportive, creative environment. You will leave with a nearly finished pullover and a better understanding of how garments come together.
What you need to know:
Students must purchase their chosen pattern in advance and arrive with fabric cut and pattern pieces ready to sew. If you need space to prep, join us during Free Open Sew on select Saturdays and Sundays in November and December to use our cutting tables.
We expect to complete about 70 to 80 percent of the project in class. Sew-along videos and blog posts will be shared to help you finish at home if needed.
