Teen Fashion Mentorship Program (Ages 12–18)
Calling all aspiring designers! Our Teen Fashion Mentorship Program is a specialized after-school program crafted for students ages 12–18 who are passionate about fashion design and ready to explore it on a deeper level. This immersive program combines creativity with technical know-how—perfect for teens who dream in sketches and think in fabric. This program teaches students the foundations of fashion design but also teaches the students to teach and lead other students.
Students who complete this program are invited to join any of our summer programs as classroom helper. Teaching others is the fastest way to learn and this program kickstarts that process.
Meeting weekly, this course introduces students to the foundations of fashion design, including pattern drafting, fashion sketching, garment construction, and draping techniques. Students will use inspiration to conceptualize, design, and sew original garments, all while gaining real-world skills used by industry professionals.
Whether they’re considering a future in fashion or simply want to turn their creative energy into wearable art, participants will build a strong portfolio and gain the confidence to bring their visions to life. With hands-on instruction, access to professional tools, and a supportive community, this is the place where style meets skill—and where young designers begin their journey.
